Playtesting + Rehearsal

Xanadu was developed, playtested, rehearsed, and performed over about a year-long process that began after the show was selected in Winter 2025.  

Initial audience interaction concepts were developed in Spring 2024.   The following Summer and Fall quarters focused on technology proof-of-concepts, early playtesting, and design development.  

Winter 2025 activities included regular playtesting of interaction prototypes, physical construction, and technology implementation.  

In  Spring 2025,  the show was rehearsed and performed in just eight weeks as part of the Theater Department’s mainstage season.
